A postcard of Carisbrooke Castle, sent on the 31st July 1968 on the Isle of Wight has finally reached its destination – via Peterborough mail centre on the 8th April 2013!
It took so long, the intended recipients moved out sometime in the 1990’s. This beats last year’s story of a letter (including a cheque) taking 9 years to deliver.
As the Derbyshire drama was caused by a postman withholding mail, there was no mystery, however no-one knows why Margaret and Ron’s postcard took so long…
